High Country Mixes, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gluten Free Goods Incorporated, is the brainchild of our CEO and founder, Dan Weissleder. Dan discovered that the Celiac Sprue and gluten sensitive marketplace was woefully underserved when his fiancée related her gluten intolerance to him. Further, Dan came to realize that he had a mild sensitivity to gluten as well.
In the course of researching foodstuffs that are gluten free, he found very few options currently available. What gluten free alternatives are available seem to be unappealing from a flavor and texture perspective, and so the idea was hatched. Offer products that are safe for a segment of the population thought to be more than 25%, and which taste at least as good, (if not better), than those currently available containing gluten.
